Muhammad Adil Bin Ahmad Hatib ("I", "me", or "my") operates the Pilgrimpal mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the App. Pilgrimpal requires account creation and login to provide personalised trip management features.
2. Information We Collect
The App may collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials to provide you with a personalised experience and secure access to your data.
- Trip Data: Trip details you create and manage (destinations, dates, itineraries, notes, and preferences) are stored on our servers to enable synchronisation across your devices.
- Location Data: With your permission, the App accesses your device's location to provide prayer times, Qibla compass direction, and location-based trip recommendations.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version are collected for crash reporting and performance monitoring.
- Usage Data: Anonymous usage analytics are collected to improve the App experience, including screens visited and features used.
3. How We Use Your Information
The collected information is used to:
- Authenticate your identity and secure your account
- Store and synchronise your trip plans across devices
- Display accurate prayer times based on your location
- Provide Qibla compass direction
- Offer personalised trip recommendations and guidance
- Monitor app performance and fix crashes
- Improve the overall user experience
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services that may collect data:

5. Data Storage and Security
Account information and trip data are stored on secure servers. Data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS encryption. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Reasonable measures are taken to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, or destruction.
6. Data Retention
Your account and trip data are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Server-side analytics and crash data are retained for up to 12 months and then automatically deleted.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and export your trip data from within the App
- Update or correct your account information through your profile settings
- Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below
- Deny or revoke location permissions through your device settings
- Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. Personal information from children is not knowingly collected. If you believe such information has been inadvertently collected, please contact us so it can be promptly deleted.
9. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App and on this page with an updated effective date. If significant changes are made, you will be notified via email or an in-app notification.
